Inventory Management

A powerful way to control your materials spend.

We’re excited to introduce Clad’s 3rd product today - inventory management, built for broadband construction.

What’s new

We have a lot in this release, but there are a few things that make Clad Inventory Management special:

  1. Reel Tracking - Track not just overall footage counts, but the specific locations and amounts of conduit and fiber reels. Monitor exact quantities across your operation.
  2. Contractor Access - Give vendors access to manage specific inventory locations. This lets ISPs that rely on contractors maintain visibility on stock while keeping their data clean and consistent across yards.
  3. Low Inventory Alerts - Set location-specific minimum thresholds and receive alerts before inventory runs low. Prevent costly construction delays from stockouts.

Clad Integrations

Inventory Management connects seamlessly with Clad's existing tools:

  • Bidding - Run materials bids through Clad, getting accurate pricing information for procurement teams
  • Project Management - Transfer materials to specific projects, driving accountability for tracking individual reels and project-level consumption.

Why we built this

Materials are expensive. In building out Clad, we noticed that more and more of our customers (both ISPs and contractors) were struggling with tracking their inventory - leading to frequent scrambling on items that were unexpectedly out of stock, or completely at a loss to discover where a 20,000 foot reel went.

Traditional inventory systems weren't designed for the unique challenges of broadband construction – managing materials across miles of territory, tracking reels as they move between job sites, and coordinating multiple crews accessing the same inventory. This complexity makes accurate cost tracking and quantity management crucial for both ISPs and contractors.

We built Clad Inventory Management to solve these specific challenges and give construction teams the precise control they need over their valuable materials.
