Why we built this

We saw ISPs painstakingly copying details from PDF invoices into spreadsheets.

This was needed to do job costing and track project-level spend, since traditional ERPs and finance systems don’t help out of the box. Meanwhile, invoices and approvals frequently were getting lost in email threads, leading to delayed payments and frustrated subs.

Job costing and invoice approvals are both critical for effective construction management, yet teams are stuck with inefficient, manual processes. It was clear that we could save everyone time, while still getting finance and operations teams the information they need.

The updates we’re announcing today eliminate the need for duplicative work. Operations teams can treat Clad as the ‘front door’ to process vendor invoices. This gives them the data for detailed cost tracking (without manual data entry) and avoids approval confusion at the same time.
